US Futures, European Stocks Rise After Fed Leaves Rates Unchanged

U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were up 0.3% and futures for
the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.2%. Changes in futures
do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 gained 1.6% in morning trading.
Samhaellsbyggnadsbolaget rose 14.5% and Sinch added 13.2%. On the
other hand, DocMorris sunk 3.3%, and Hannover Rueck SE lost 3%. The
FTSE 100 added 1.9%. Other stocks in Europe were up as France's CAC
40 increased 1.5% and Germany's DAX rose 1.3%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index dropped 0.4% to 96.93.
In commodities, Brent crude rose 0.8% to $74.83 a barrel, and
WTI crude rose 0.7% to $69.95 a barrel.
The German 10-year Bund yield fell by 14 basis points to 2.035%
from 2.175%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury declined by
8 basis points to 3.942% from 4.025%. Bond prices and yields move
in opposite directions.
Stocks in Asia were mixed as Japan's Nikkei 225 index fell 0.7%,
whereas Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 1.1%. China's benchmark
Shanghai Composite declined 0.3%.
