Business Wire
QuadraMed(R) Corporation (Amex:QD) today announced that the company
has released QuadraMed TempusOne(R) v8.2 for general availability.
QuadraMed TempusOne is a leading multi-facility, conflict-checking,
enterprise scheduling and integrated Access Management product,
enabling healthcare organizations to avoid or correct wasteful
steps in the revenue cycle caused by incomplete, erroneous or
non-accessible patient data. QuadraMed TempusOne v8.2, the first of
three planned product enhancements for TempusOne expected to be
released in 2006, incorporates advanced functionality in two
critical areas. The first integrates TempusOne Physician Web
Scheduler with electronic physician orders generation so that as an
appointment is being scheduled, the physician can simultaneously
generate the signed electronic orders required for treatment. These
orders are stored, maintained and retrievable within the QuadraMed
TempusOne database. Adding this electronic order functionality at
the time of physician scheduling promotes a paperless environment
and adds the assurance of an order on-hand at the hospital,
increasing efficiency, lowering healthcare costs, and most
importantly, improving patient safety. This latest, enhanced
version also includes the first phase of an electronic worklist.
The "worklist browser" facilitates the flow of additional
user-defined appointment needs downstream within the healthcare
enterprise enabling each department across the enterprise to know
which additional services are needed for every patient, thereby
streamlining care processes and improving patient satisfaction.
QuadraMed TempusOne manages the scheduling and Access Management
needs found in complex healthcare environments - large and
multi-facility organizations, as well as Integrated Delivery
Networks (IDNs). The software automatically checks conflicts at the
patient, resource and physician levels, provides over 60
user-definable rules sets, integrates Access Management processes,
conducts real time medical necessity checking, enables physician
Web-scheduling and even features call-back reminders for patients.
The secure, HL7 environment ensures seamless integration. New
releases of QuadraMed TempusOne, as with v8.2, are typically
client-installed in a matter of one hour or less with no
interruption of existing service. Version 8.2 ships to existing
clients immediately. Enterprise Scheduling and Access Management
are integral parts of the QuadraMed Care-Based Revenue Cycle(TM)
process, which helps hospitals to advance their financial success
by leveraging quality care into positive financial outcomes. This
QuadraMed strategic process also provides for interoperability for
the connected healthcare community and quality measurement. For
