Firestone Diamonds plc ("the Company") announces that it received notification
on 23 January 2006 from Fidelity International that FMR Corp. and Fidelity
International Limited together have a notifiable interest in 1,670,600 Ordinary
Shares of 20p each, representing approximately 3.00% of the current issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.  Of these shares, 1,457,000 are held on
behalf of Fidelity Management & Research Company, a subsidiary of FMR Corp., and
213,600 are held on behalf of Fidelity International Limited.
