State Street Global Exchange Continues to Build Analytics Team with Addition of Two Industry Veterans

State Street Global Exchange has strengthened its analytics
offerings with the addition of two new senior hires, Dr. Jeffrey
Bohn and Thomas Hughes. State Street Global Exchange delivers
proprietary data, insights, analytics and trading solutions to
address clients’ needs to make better investment decisions,
generate superior returns, and effectively manage data and
risk.
Dr. Jeffrey Bohn joins State Street Global Exchange as head of
portfolio analytics and valuation and Thomas Hughes joins as senior
product strategist, analytics, both reporting to Dr. Roger M.
Stein, chief analytics officer of State Street Global Exchange. The
two analytics industry veterans bring strong technical and product
development backgrounds and will be instrumental in building upon
State Street’s analytical foundation to develop models and tools
for implementing better trading strategies, new investment products
and best-practice risk management tools.

Before joining Global Exchange, Hughes held a number of senior
positions including chief operating officer and president of The
Connors Group, a quantitative-equity trading research business. He
also led the digital product strategy practice at Moody’s and
oversaw the conversion of existing service to digital delivery and
initiated a number of new products including industry-leading data
feeds and software-as-a-service innovations. Most recently, he has
been involved as an advisor to a number of local start-up firms in
New York City. Hughes serves his community as a Director of the
Alliance for Downtown New York, the business-improvement district
for Lower Manhattan and the Financial District.
Dr. Jeffrey R. Bohn has been working in the field of financial
analytics for 25 years. During this time he has held senior
positions focused on portfolio management and construction. He also
has extensive experience heading product and research teams that
developed analytics tools that have been adopted widely in
industry. He has led economic capital and risk management functions
at Standard Chartered and Shinsei Bank and served as CEO of Soliton
Financial Analytics, a financial technology firm based in Hong
Kong. He was also head of research and product development at
Moody’s KMV. Most recently, he led the risk and regulatory practice
for PwC’s Financial Services Consulting group in Japan. Dr. Bohn
regularly teaches seminars on topics related to finance,
quantitative methods and financial institutions, and has taught at
both UC Berkley and Tokyo University.
