State Street Appoints William Cunningham to Lead Fixed Income Research Capabilities

the appointment of William Cunningham to senior vice president of
fixed income research for State Street Global Markets, the research
and trading arm of State Street. In this new role, Cunningham will
report to Mark Marinella, executive vice president and global head
of fixed income research, sales and trading for State Street Global
Markets. Earlier this year State Street Corporation announced that
it was enhancing its trading, research and analytics capabilities
in fixed income. Cunningham�s appointment augments this initiative
and further strengthens its position in providing the most
comprehensive array of research offerings to institutional

leading credit research and strategy efforts at JP Morgan
Securities Corporation, Merrill Lynch & Co. and FTN Financial
Securities Corporation. He most recently served as chief executive
officer as well as chief investment officer for Connecticut-based
Breakaway Capital Advisors, LLC, a start-up credit hedge fund and
independent research firm that he founded and managed. A graduate
of Brown University with a Master of Business Administration in
finance from Columbia Business School, Cunningham has also held
senior management positions at investment management firm Neuberger
Berman and in the Treasurer�s Office of General Motors Corporation.
