Dow Jones News
The Indian unit of Harley-Davidson Inc. (HOG) said Wednesday it
has appointed five dealers to sell its high-end motorcycles in the
country.
The dealerships are in Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Mumbai
and New Delhi, the company said.
They will be the sole retailers for Harley-Davidson motorcycles,
genuine parts, accessories and apparel. The dealerships will also
operate authorized service centers across the five cities.
The company said it will offer 12 models from its 2010 line-up,
with bookings starting in each city on April 20.
Harley-Davidson India--which started operations in August
2009--plans to appoint more dealers, but it hasn't yet said how
many or where they will be.
