Aker Solutions ASA said Thursday that it has been awarded a large contract from ConocoPhillips to provide a subsea production system for the Eldfisk North development offshore Norway.

The company said it defines a "large" contract as being between 1.2 billion and 2 billion Norwegian kroner ($139.2 million-$232.1 million)

The scope of the contract covers a complete subsea production system, wellheads and control systems, among other things.

Work starts immediately and will involve Aker Solutions' facilities in Brazil, Malaysia, Norway and the U.K., with final deliveries scheduled for 2024.

The award will be booked as order intake in the first quarter of 2021 and the project development is subject to a final investment decision by the license partners and regulatory approval by Norwegian authorities, it said.
