ConAgra Foods Inc. (NYSE:CAG), one of America's leading packaged food companies, announced today that Lou Nieto has joined ConAgra Foods as president, Packaged Meats and Deli, and will be based in Naperville, Ill. Nieto, 50, is a seasoned leader in the packaged foods industry. Most recently, he was president and chief executive officer of Federated Group, Inc., a privately held national provider of private brands, products and services to grocery industry retailers. Prior to that position, Nieto held senior positions at Dean Foods Company and Mission Foods Company. He also has held positions of increasing responsibility at Kraft Foods, Inc., and The Quaker Oats Company. "Lou's experience and strong skill set will be an asset to growing popular ConAgra Foods brands, such as Armour, Brown 'N Serve, Butterball, Eckrich, Healthy Choice and Hebrew National," said Dean Hollis, executive vice president, Retail Products.
