Anthem Inc. (ANTM) will acquire the Missouri and Nebraska Medicaid plans of WellCare Health Plans Inc.'s (WCG) subsidiary, subject to antitrust and other regulatory approvals, Centene Corp. (CNC) and WellCare said.

The divestiture is related to a previously announced acquisition of WellCare by Centene that is slated to occur in the first half of 2020, the two companies said Thursday.

Centene's acquisition has received approvals from 19 states, according to the two companies.
