Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC said Wednesday that it has sold 28 million shares in London Stock Exchange Group PLC at 7,150 pence on behalf of the Blackstone/Thomson Reuters consortium, more than originally planned.

Morgan Stanley said late Tuesday that it was planning to sell 23.0 million LSEG shares on behalf of York Holdings via a bookbuild program. York Holdings is owned by a consortium that includes Blackstone Inc. and Thomson Reuters.

The sale price is a 4% discount to Tuesday's closing price of 7,446.0 pence.

Following the sale Blackstone and Thomson Reuters own 38.1 million LSEG shares which are subject to a 90 day lock-up.

Dow Jones competes with Thomson Reuters in financial news and information services.
