Bank of America Corp. (BAC) said it hired AllianceBernstein
Holding LP's (AB) Lisa Shalett as Merrill Lynch Global Wealth
Management's chief investment officer and head of Investment
Management and Guidance.
She succeeds Michael O'Keeffe, who left three weeks ago,
according to a Bank of America spokeswoman.
At AllianceBerstein, Shalett was head of global growth equities.
There, she managed all growth-style equity mandates and helped
direct and oversee product platforms and portfolios across the
institutional, retail and private clients. Before that she oversaw
global research, sales and trading at Sanford C. Bernstein &
Co.
Her immediate superior--Kunal S. Kamlani, who heads Global
Investment Solutions--lauded her "intellectual acumen and proven
leadership skills." He also noted her experience with fundamental
and quantitative research.
Bank of America shares were down 0.2% at $14.12 in after-hours
trading.
