Air Products & Chemicals Inc. (APD) raised its quarterly
dividend 10%, marking the 30th straight year the industrial-gas
company has increased its dividend.
The six cents-a-share increase brings the quarterly payout to 64
cents a share and will cost Air Products about $50.5 million more a
year.
In January, Air Products reported its fiscal first-quarter
earnings fell 7.6% as it saw continued weakness in its equipment
and energy segment and slower growth in its three other major
segments.
Shares were up by 36 cents to $91.50 in recent trading. The
stock is up 7.4% so far this year.
