PR Newswire (US)
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Air
Products' (NYSE:APD) mobile hydrogen fueler technology was part of
an historic event on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah recently
when it provided Ford Motor Company the hydrogen to power the Ford
Fusion Hydrogen 999 as it raced to a record 207.297 miles per hour
(MPH) to make it the world's first and fastest production-based
fuel cell vehicle race car. "Congratulations to Ford and the team
in joining the 200 MPH Club at Bonneville Speed Week. Air Products
is pleased to have played a role in reaching an exciting speed
milestone. Our mobile fueler is a leading technology and has been
transported to some pretty interesting locations for testing and
special events, but being placed into operation on the Salt Flats
in Utah for leading edge technology has to be on the top of the
list," said Tom Mutchler, general manager, Integrated Businesses at
Air Products. Ford's fuel cell vehicle team battled technical
difficulties and a harsh desert environment en route to joining the
200 MPH Club of Bonneville Speed Week, an annual event that
attracts hundreds of racing teams. The project was a partnership
between Ford, The Ohio State University Center for Automotive
Research, Ballard Power Systems and Roush Racing. There are

versatile Air Products mobile hydrogen fueler comes complete with

demonstrations or remote endurance testing. The fueler can be
remotely monitored and is designed to ensure daily, around-
the-clock hydrogen vehicle fueling availability. Air Products has
more than 50 years of hydrogen experience and is on the forefront
of hydrogen energy technology development. Air Products has placed
