Tesla Inc. (TSLA) has lowered the starting price of its China-made Model 3 vehicles by 10% to 323,800 yuan ($46,494), according to Tesla's Chinese website.

The actual selling price of the model starts at CNY299,050 after taking into account government subsidies for new-energy vehicles, the website shows.

Tesla will start delivering the Model 3 cars made in its Shanghai factory to customers on Jan. 7.
