Coca-Cola Co. (KO) said Francisco Crespo, senior vice president
and chief growth officer, and Bernhard Goepelt, senior vice
president and general counsel, are retiring this month.
Mr. Crespo will remain in the company through June 30 as a
senior strategic adviser and will proceed with other personal and
professional plans, while Mr. Goepelt will stay with the company
through February 2020 and will be focusing on family obligations in
his native Germany, Coca-Cola said Monday.
Coca-Cola said it will name Mr. Goepelt's successor at a later
date. Mr. Goepelt joined the company in 1992 as legal counsel for
the former German division.
With the retirement of Mr. Crespo, who assumed the newly created
position in May 2017, Coca-Cola said it is implementing a new
structure for its global-growth organization, effective Jan. 1.
Those in integrated global marketing, which includes teams for
creative, category, marketing operations, design and knowledge
insights, will report to Manolo Arroyo, who will be chief marketing
officer in addition to continuing to serve as the president of the
company's Asia-Pacific group, the company said.
Those in corporate strategy will report to Finance Chief John
Murphy, while those in customer and commercial operations will
report to President and Operating Chief Brian Smith, Coca-Cola
said.
