Abbott Laboratories (ABT) raised its quarterly common dividend to 36 cents per share.

That represents a 12.5% increase, the company said.

The cash dividend is payable Feb. 14 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Jan. 15.

Shares were up 0.3% at $86.26 Friday.
