HSBC Private Banking, Americas announced the addition of four key hires in an effort to further enhance its investment management capabilities and expertise for clients:

Steve Simon, Regional Head of Credit Advisory

Steve will be responsible for the Credit Advisory business, tasked with enhancing HSBC’s positioning in the sector with a particular focus on developing Private Banking’s product offering. He has over 35 years of experience in financial services in roles covering client lending and product control across HSBC, Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. From 2009 to 2011, he was responsible for all lending activities in the US at HSBC for both the Domestic and International Private Bank. Most recently, he was responsible for credit risk management for the US east coast business within Goldman Sachs’ Private Banking Division, providing structuring solutions on new loan transactions to high net worth clients.

Alex Catterick, Regional Alternatives Product Specialist

Alex will be responsible for the alternatives product offering in the Americas including managing relationships with third party alternative funds offered on the HSBC Private Banking platform and coordinating roadshows and investor updates. Alex has over 21 years of experience in financial services in roles covering accounting, institutional equities research, investment advisory and alternative investments at KPMG, CIBC, JPMorgan and Barclays. Most recently he was a Director within Barclays’ alternative investment team responsible for the distribution and growth of their alternative investments wealth and investment management platform in the US.

Vincent Fontana, Regional Fixed Income Product Specialist

Vincent will be responsible for the Fixed Income product with a particular focus on developing portfolio design and performance analytics. He has over 15 years of experience in financial services gained at Merrill Lynch and BNY Mellon. His experience covers banking, portfolio management, and investment services with a particular focus on fixed income investing strategies. Most recently, he was a Product Specialist within BNY Mellon’s Asset Management Division providing fixed income product support across investment grade and high yield credit, emerging market debt, global credit, and currency alpha/active hedging investment strategies.

Vikram Singh, Regional Structured Product Specialist

Vikram will be responsible for Structured Products and will concentrate on developing product offerings and performance. He has six years of experience in roles covering derivative-based hedging and monetization strategies as well as structured investment solutions for both institutional and high net-worth clients across the equity, credit and foreign exchange markets. Most recently, he was part of HSBC’s Structured Product and Derivatives Sales team within Global Markets.
