New Jersey American Water Investing $3.5 Million in Monmouth County

New Jersey American Water is investing over $3.5 million in new
water mains in its Asbury Park, Neptune Township and Ocean Township
service areas in Monmouth County. The approximate 23,000 feet of
new pipe replaces water main that was installed as far back as the
1920s. The aging water lines will be replaced with ductile iron
pipes.
New Jersey American Water crews are currently working along
the following streets:
In Asbury Park
- 4th Avenue, from Memorial Drive to
Prospect Avenue in Asbury Park
In Neptune Township
- Prospect Avenue, from Brighton Avenue
to Oakdale Drive
- Robbins Road, from Smock Avenue to
Brighton Avenue
- Glenmere Avenue, from Oakdale Drive to
Forrest Drive
- 10th Avenue, from Route 35 to East
End
- The entire length of the following:
Elmwood Drive, Loraine Drive, McDermott Road and Schock Avenue
In Ocean Township
- Brower Boulevard, from Interlaken
Avenue to Logan Road
- Laurel Avenue, from N. Wanamassa Drive
to Sunset Avenue
- Pinecrest Road, from Redmond Avenue to
Roosevelt Avenue
- Pinecrest Road, from Wells Avenue to
Harnell Avenue
- Harnell Avenue, from Woodcrest Road to
Wells Avenue
- The entire length of the following:
Cliftwood Road, Elmwood Road, Oakhurst Road, Roosevelt Avenue,
Wells Avenue, Woodcrest Road and Phoenix Parkway

multimillion dollar program to accelerate the renewal of water
infrastructure that is reaching the end of its useful life to help
ensure continued reliable service,” stated Kevin Keane, senior
director of Operations, Coastal Region. "With the installation of
the new water mains, customers should experience increased water
flows for residences and fire protection, as well as continued
improvement in reliability.”
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of April and
final street restoration will be completed in the fall of 2017. New
