Euro Mixed Ahead Of Eurozone CPI, Jobless Rate

At 5 am ET Tuesday, Eurostat is due to release its flash
inflation and unemployment reports. The HICP is expected to rise
0.3 percent year-over-year in September, slower than the 0.4
percent increase in August. The core HICP is estimated to increase
at a stable rate of 0.9 percent in September. The jobless rate is
forecast to remain unchanged at 11.5 percent in August.
The euro showed mixed trading against the other major currencies
before these reports. While the euro slipped against the yen, the
greenback and the pound, it held steady against the franc
The euro was worth 1.2657 against the greenback, 0.7795 against
the pound, 138.69 against the yen and 1.2067 against the franc at
4:55 am ET.
