Wolf Minerals Announces ISO 14001 Certification
for its Environmental Systems at Hemerdon Tungsten and Tin
Project
Specialty metals development company, Wolf Minerals Limited
(ASX: WLF, AIM: WLFE) ("Wolf" or "the Company") is pleased to
announce that it has been recommended for ISO 14001 certification
for its environmental management systems which have been
implemented at the Company's world class Hemerdon tungsten and tin
project ("the Project") in Devon, southwest England.
The implementation of an environmental management system is a
condition of the Environment Agency's permit for the Project and is
required to be in place prior to the commencement of processing
tungsten ore.
Certification to the ISO 14001 Standard provides assurance to
all stakeholders that the environmental impact of the Hemerdon
Project is being managed, measured and mitigated as it develops
through commissioning and into operations.
Commenting on the certification, Managing Director of Wolf
Minerals, Russell Clark, said
"It is unusual to have certification in place prior to an
operation commencing and our environmental team is to be commended
on its efforts that have resulted in this successful outcome."
"The certification is a stamp of approval that we have the
necessary systems and processes in place to manage and monitor our
environmental performance and it will provide our local communities
and other stakeholders the comfort that we are managing the
environment in which we work to the highest standards."
