                           Appointment of Director

The Board of Ted Baker plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the
appointment of Robert Breare as a Non-executive Director of the Company, with
immediate effect.

Ray Kelvin, Chief Executive, said, "We are delighted to have Robert on board.
His knowledge and experience will be invaluable to the future performance of
the business."

Robert Breare is currently Chief Executive of Noble House Group, a
non-executive of Capital Bars plc and Non-executive Chairman of Refresh UK
plc.  He was previously a director of Arcadian International plc.  No further
disclosures are required pursuant to the Listing Rules.
