Sportsworld announces that it has today entered into an agreement to acquire
the 11.5 per cent. of International Sports Group Limited not already owned by
Sportsworld. The consideration for the acquisition is the issue of 196,040 new
ordinary shares of 1 pence each in Sportsworld ("Consideration Shares") and
the issue of a loan note with an aggregate nominal value of #810,000. 

Application will be made to the London Stock Exchange and to the Financial
Services Authority for the admission of the Consideration Shares to the
Official List. It is expected that such admission will become effective on 5
May 2000.
