Sportsworld Media Group plc ("Sportsworld" or "the Company")

Further to the announcement made by the Company on 6 March 2000, the Company
announces that it has entered into a conditional contract to purchase the
remaining 49 per cent. of SSM Freesports Limited (formerly Stuart Sawyer
(Marketing) Limited) not currently owned by the Company.   A circular
containing details of the acquisition, together with a notice of an
extraordinary general meeting at which shareholder's consent will be sought,
will be despatched in due course.
