SPORTSWORLD MEDIA GROUP PLC ("Sportsworld" or "the Company")

Sportsworld announces that, on 6 January 2000, Sovereign Trust International
Limited, as trustee for The Kennedy Settlement, of which Geoff Brown, Chief
Executive of the Company, is a beneficiary, sold 500,000 ordinary shares in
the Company at a price of 450 pence per share. The Kennedy Settlement retains
1,842,286 ordinary shares, representing 3.41 per cent. of the Company's issued
share capital.
