    In accordance with the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Osmetech is required to notify the market of the
following:
    

    Osmetech's issued ordinary share capital as at 31 December 2008 consists of 891,607,157 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 0.10
pence each, with voting rights. Osmetech does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury.
    

    Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Osmetech is 891,607,157. The above figure of 891,607,157shares may be used by
shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a
change to their interest in, Osmetech under the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
