On 5 October 2004 the Company was informed by Hermes Administration Services
Limited ("Hermes") that as a result of a recent purchase and a loan of 268,450
ordinary shares of 25 p each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares")
BriTel Fund Trustees Limited, a client of Hermes, now has direct holding of
9,767,757 Ordinary Shares representing 5.17 per cent. of the issued share
capital of the Company.

 
The total holding of 10,036,207 Ordinary Shares, representing 5.31% of the
issued share capital of the Company, is held as follows;
