Re Proposed Disposal

Further to the announcement earlier today concerning the proposed disposal of all the Company's trading subsidiaries, the Company wishes to make clear that since an agreement has been entered into for the proposed disposal, a takeover offer under the Takeover Code is no longer in contemplation by the Company or its majority shareholder. The Takeover Panel has agreed as a result that the Company should no longer be in an offer period for the purposes of the Takeover Code.
