Lord Leach

13th June 2016 - Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited today announced that Lord Leach of Fairford, a Director of the Company, died on 12th June 2016 after a short illness. Lord Leach first joined the Group in 1983 following a career in investment banking.

Sir Henry Keswick, Chairman of Jardine Matheson, said, "We are deeply saddened by Rodney's death. During his 33 years with Jardines he made a significant contribution to the development and expansion of the Group. We benefited immensely from his experience and powerful intellect, and his wise counsel and friendship will be greatly missed. We offer our deepest condolences to his wife, Jessica, and his family."

Lord Leach was a Director of Group companies Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited, Jardine Strategic Holdings Limited, Hongkong Land Holdings Limited, Dairy Farm International Holdings Limited and Mandarin Oriental International Limited, and was also Deputy Chairman of Jardine Lloyd Thompson plc.
