Contract Update
Matchtech Group plc, (AIM: MTEC) (the "Group"), one of the UK's
leading specialist engineering and professional services
recruitment companies, announces today that it has signed a number
of contracts, with both new and existing clients, to assist in the
search for permanent and contract staff.
This includes winning a competitive tender to provide Southern
Water, one of the UK's largest water and wastewater service
providers, with candidates from all experience levels across
engineering, operational and head office staff, as part of a
six-year contract. The Group's appointment, effective immediately,
will play a key role in helping Southern Water identify and recruit
talent, and utilises the Group's full service offering.
Southern Water, which is a new client for Matchtech, provides
services to more than 4.5 million customers across Kent, Sussex,
Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and currently employs more than
2,000 staff. The company will spend around GBP3 billion enhancing
and maintaining its water and wastewater services in the coming
five years, which is equivalent to GBP1,500 for every household and
business in its area.
In addition to the Southern Water contract, the Group has:
-- Agreed a three-year contract renewal with Mouchel Infrastructure Services to continue to support the recruitment
of both specialist engineers and support staff, as Master Vendor of contract, within the Highways &
Transportation and Water & Environment sectors.
-- Agreed a two-year extension with WSP Group, one of the world's leading engineering professional services
consulting firms, to its master-vendor agreement, which is currently in its sixth year. The Group will continue
to manage all temporary and contractor recruitment across all disciplines, with 85% of hires being skilled
Technical and Engineering personnel.
-- Agreed a 12-month contract renewal with UK Power Networks, which owns and maintains electricity cables and lines
across London, the South East and East of England, to provide support around the recruitment of all of its
technical and non-technical contract staff. This contract also has the option of being extended for a further two
years.
Keith Lewis, Chief Operating Officer of Matchtech Group plc,
said: "These contract wins clearly demonstrate how the breadth and
knowledge of our specialist recruitment teams is enabling the Group
to meet the demands of new and existing clients alike in sourcing
high quality candidates across both the engineering and
professional sectors.
"We are looking forward to working closely with these clients in
supporting their recruitment drive as they strengthen their
workforce to deliver their respective business plans and
identifying the best talent that match their culture and
requirements."
