   Proposed Placing of 3,012,821 ordinary shares at 78p per ordinary share


The board of Expomedia Group Plc ("Expomedia" or the "Company") announces that
an Extraordinary General Meeting was held earlier today to seek the shareholder
approval necessary for the Placing.



At the Extraordinary General Meeting, the Shareholders passed resolutions to
increase the authorised share capital of the Company, to authorise the directors
to allot enough new ordinary shares for the placing and to disapply the
statutory pre-emption rights contained in section 89(1) of the Companies Act
1985.



Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange plc for the new ordinary
shares issued in connection with the Placing to be admitted to trading on the
Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange plc. It is expected
that dealing in the new ordinary shares will begin on 26 March 2002.



Since the opening of Expomedia's Warsaw International Expocentre in September
2001, the venue has already hosted 21 events including exhibitions such as the
Warsaw International Motor Show and Warsaw International Building Exhibition,
and has attracted events and banquets such as Microsoft's launch of Windows XP,
and corporate events for companies such as Siemens and Sun Microsystems amongst
others.



This month Expomedia's event organizing arm, CEE Exhibitions, ran Meeting
Premiera, Central and Eastern Europe's largest paper, school and office products
exhibition. The event, supported by the Prime Minster of Poland, was extremely
successful. The exhibitor number grew by 25% this year alone, and more than
10,000 potential clients visited the event during the 3-days that it ran.



To date over 25 events (exhibitions and corporate functions) have already been
contracted for 2002 and the Directors are pleased to have concluded long term
contracts with 10 organisers both local and international, including Biuro
Reklamy, Murator, MCT, CMP(UK) and BTO (Holland).



Roger Shashoua, Chairman, comments, "We are witnessing very successful results
in the development of the Company's growth both in the centres and our
exhibitions which is being reflected positively in the progressive increase of
Expomedia's market capitalization."
