Deltron Electronics plc (the "Company" or "Deltron")
Placing/Directors Shareholding
Deltron Electronics plc, one of the leading electromechanical components
providers in Europe, announces today that it has placed 1,206,569 ordinary
shares of 5p each at 59p (the "Placing") with Directors and employees of the
Company, raising #705,843. Application has been made for these shares to be
admitted to the Official List with dealings expected to commence on 6 September
2002.
The Directors are participating in the Placing as follows:

A total of 22 executives and non-executive directors from Deltron subsidiaries
in six countries have participated in the Placing. Sums invested range from over
#170,000 to #1,000.

Deltron will release a trading update on its performance during the year to 30th
September 2002 shortly after the end of this period.
