          CMG plc acquires French IT Services company

CMG plc, the European IT Services Group, announces that it has
today acquired 100% of Alias S.A., a Paris-based IT services
company operating in the Industry sector.

Alias, which has been established for over 8 years, provides
SAP consultancy and services to organisations in the Paris
region. The company had a turnover in 1997 of FFr 25 million
(#2.5 million) and profit before tax of FFr1 million
(#0.1million). The total consideration is FFr 21 million
(#2.1million), to be paid in cash. In 1998, the company is
expected to make a positive contribution to CMG's earnings
before goodwill amortisation.

Alias' previous owner remains with the company, as do all 42
employees. Its management team will report to Gerard Brouwer,
recently appointed Country Director of CMG France, a new
company set up to manage CMG's interests in the country. Mr.
Brouwer was previously a Director of CMG Netherlands.

CMG has also appointed Eric d'Hotelans as Director of its
Finance sector business in France. Mr d'Hotelans joins CMG
from Tandem Computers, where he was responsible for sales and
marketing into Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Commenting on the acquisition, Mr. Brouwer said, "The
acquisition provides CMG with a solid base of SAP business in
the Industry sector in France. It complements our existing
work in the finance and telecoms sectors with organisations
such as the Paris Bourse and SFR, the French mobile telecom
operator. These three sectors will be our main focus for
growth in France."

Added Cor Stutterheim, Chairman of CMG, "We have been looking
for some time to expand into other countries in Europe, in
line with our declared strategy. With today's acquisition and
that of CSS in Brussels, announced last month, we now have
bases in 5 adjacent European countries."

CMG's results for the year to 31 December 1997 will be
announced on 9 March.
