           CMG plc: Non-executive director appointed



The board of CMG plc is pleased to announce the appointment of
Mr. Wilko H. Boerner as a non-executive director.

Mr. Boerner, 59, brings to CMG over 30 years' boardroom-level
experience in the German finance sector, particularly the
insurance market.  Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was
Chief Executive of the Volksfuersorge Group of Companies, a
major German insurance group based in Hamburg.  Previously he
was Chief Executive of Aachener & Muenchner Lebensversicherung
AG and executive director of Stuttgart-based Wuerttembergische
Versicherungs AG - both large German-based international
insurance groups.
