CMG PLC ACQUIRES SPECIALIST PROCESS AUTOMATION COMPANY
IN THE NETHERLANDS
  
CMG plc, the European IT services group, today announced the
acquisition of Thijssen Information Systems, a company
focused on control and information systems for process
automation, logistics and traffic management.  The company
was purchased from its previous owners, Volker Wessels
Stevin N.V. for NLG 2.5 million #732,000 in cash for the
goodwill and net assets.  The systems delivered by Thijssen
are generally linked to ERP systems such as SAP and Baan or
scheduling systems within the major manufacturing and
transport organisations that constitute the company's well
established customer base.

Thijssen Information Systems, which was established in 1962,
had revenues of NLG 15.6 million in 1998, mostly generated
from The Netherlands where the company is located in Eerbeek
20 km from Arnhem, and operated close to break-even.  Some
40 people - including highly skilled, technical software
engineers and the existing management team - become part of
CMG through the deal, enhancing CMG's full service
capability in the transport and industry sectors.

CMG Benelux Chairman, Hugo Schaap, commented:

to increase penetration of technical markets such as
embedded software and process automation, and will provide
additional support for our rapidly growing business in
trade, transport and industry.  We believe that both of our
