                        Re. Major Sponsorship Agreement                        

Clipper Ventures Plc, the AIM quoted ocean racing company, is delighted to
announce that the City of Durban has agreed a sponsored entry for the 07-08
Clipper Round The World Yacht Race.

Durban is the third City to sign up for the 07-08 race after a deal with the
Cities of Liverpool and Glasgow. Clipper is currently in advanced negotiations
with a further five international Cities and shareholders will be kept fully
informed of developments.

Clipper Ventures CEO William Ward said:

"We are delighted to have the City of Durban re-sign as one of our major
sponsors for the 07-08 race. What is encouraging is the level of sponsorship we
are attracting now, compared to the 05-06 race, which at the time was a record
for the company. In 05-06 we received �8.5m of income and our budget for 07-08
is �12m, which shows the growth of our underlying business."
