                               Directorate change

Cains Beer Company PLC, the AIM-listed craft brewer and operator of 109 pubs, is
pleased to announce the appointment of Francis Andrew Patton as a Non-executive
Director of the Company with immediate effect. The Company also announces that
Simon Wood, currently a Non-executive Director, will be stepping down from the
Board.

Francis Patton has over 20 years experience in the pub and restaurant sector.
Most recently, he was the Customer Services Director of Punch Taverns PLC
("Punch") from 2003, where he played a key executive role in driving operational
performance and delivering strong growth. Before taking the role of Customer
Services Director, Mr Patton was the Commercial Director of Punch from 1999,
where he was responsible for supplier negotiations and the marketing of the
company and its products to the City and to other key stakeholders.

Before moving to Punch, Mr Patton spent twelve years with Allied Domecq,
starting at Joshua Tetley and latterly with Allied Domecq Inns. Mr Patton is
also a Non-executive Council Member of the British Institute of Innkeeping and a
Council Member of the British Beer and Pub Association.
