--BT Group PLC's CEO Philip Jansen said it would be "impossible" to remove all equipment made by China's Huawei Technologies Co. from U.K. telecommunications infrastructure before 2030, the BBC reports.

--The U.K. government is expected to say Tuesday that no new 5G gear from Huawei can be installed after 2021 and that all its existing equipment must be removed, possibly by 2025, the BBC reports.

--BT's EE uses Huawei equipment in its 2G, 4G and 5G networks, and its Openreach division also uses technology developed by the Chinese company in its exchanges to provide fiber broadband, according to the BBC.
