New President of Pergo AB

Michael Boris-Moller has been appointed new President of Pergo AB, the Perstorp
Group's flooring company. Mr. Boris-Moller joins Pergo AB from a senior position
at SCA Hygiene Products.

Pergo has annual sales of approximately SEK 3,700 million, with 1,100 employees.
Perstorp's Board of Directors intends to propose that the company's Annual
General Meeting in 2001 approve a spin-off of Pergo to Perstorp shareholders and
an exchange listing of Pergo shares during 2001.

Michael Boris-Moller, aged 46, is a Master of Business Administration. He has
held senior positions in the consumer products sector since 1987, in such
multinational companies as Procter & Gamble, RJR Scandinavia AB, Master Foods
and SCA.

Mr. Boris-Moller, will take up his new position on April 1, 2001 when Acting
President Raimo Issal will be appointed Deputy President.
