Management changes at Perstorp Chemicals

Jerker Hartwall is to leave his current position as President of Perstorp
Chemicals to take up a position as President and Chief Executive Officer of
Karlshamns AB.

The Perstorp Group's President and Chief Executive Officer, Ake Fredriksson, who
was previously President of Perstorp Chemicals, will head the subgroup until
further notice.

"I fully understand why Jerker, who has worked within Perstorp for nearly 20
years, finds a position as Chief Executive Officer of a publicly traded company
attractive. Naturally, the timing could have been better. On the other hand,
this change means that we can accelerate the ongoing integration of our
corporate functions with the corresponding functions within Perstorp Chemicals,"
says Ake Fredriksson.

Karlshamns is one of the world's four leading producers of highly refined
vegetable-based special fats. The Karlshamns Group, which has been listed on the
OM Stockholm Exchange since 1997, has annual sales of approximately SEK 3,000
million, with 800 employees.
