Software AG today announced that it has been recognized by IDG’s CIO magazine as one of the CIO 100 award winners. The 26th annual awards program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT). Mighael Botha, Chief Technology Officer at Software AG, will accept the award at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony August 13th at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“For 26 years now, the CIO 100 awards have honored the innovative use of technology to deliver genuine business value,” said Maryfran Johnson, Editor in Chief of CIO magazine & Events. “Our 2013 winners are an outstanding example of the transformative power of IT to drive everything from revenue growth to competitive advantage.”

Software AG was recognized for technology used to efficiently organize, quickly retrieve and reuse content and collateral for Request for Proposals (RFPs). Now, Software AG can find the right content, at the right time, in the right place. Tracking the effective content also provides a sound return on investment of specific collateral pieces.

“We are pleased to be recognized by CIO magazine for embracing technology that can make a difference in what we deliver to our customers,” said Jay Johnson, President & CEO, Software AG North America and member of the Group Executive Board. “We regularly receive RFPs from potential customers that are highly complex ranging from specific technical questions to insight into our software, services and overall business. We want to ensure we are delivering compelling, effective proposals by sharing the most up-to-date, targeted and effective material we have on our products and solutions.”

Complete coverage of the 2013 CIO 100 awards will appear in the August 1st issue of CIO magazine and online at www.cio.com.

About the CIO 100 Awards

The recipients of this year's CIO 100 award were selected through a three-step process. First, companies filled out an online application form detailing their innovative IT and business initiatives. Next, a team of judges reviewed the applications in depth, looking for unique practices and substantial results. Finally, CIO editors reviewed the judges' recommendations and voted on the final 100.
