James N. Smoak Resigns Position as Director at Yadkin Financial Corporation

ELKIN, NC--(Marketwired - Dec 27, 2013) -  Yadkin Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: YDKN) announced today the resignation of Director James N. Smoak, effective December 20, 2013. Mr. Smoak has served as a director since 1987, and served as Chief Executive Officer of legacy Yadkin Valley Bank from 1997-2002.

President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Towell said, "Jim has a long history with our Bank, both as an executive and valued Board member. We wish him well as he has chosen to shift his focus away from an official capacity with the Company."

The Company does not anticipate immediately filling the vacancy on the Board at this time.
