1. A townhouse burnt to foundation in the middle of a community with NO OVERHEAD ELECTRICAL WIRES and ten feet away the adjacent was not touched.
2. Three cars with top to bottom melting of glass and metal in the middle of a grass field and neighboring homes not burned.
3. 5 of 6 cars melted a one car had no damage as it was painted blue.
4. An untouched metal cover was fried and the home was not damaged.
5. Boats out far quarter mile away from shore were fried.
So Hawaiian Electric, WHY ARE YOU TAKING THE BLAME FOR THESE THINGS.

HONOLULU 2019 — Hawaiian Electric (HECO) is asking for a 4.1 percent increase in revenue or 77.5 million dollars a year. For a typical customer, HECO said that’s about $8.67 more a month.

“As our state is moving toward 100 percent renewable energy by 2045, a lot of the investments that we’re making have a lot to do with improving the grid, upgrading our system to be able to accomodate more renewable energy and move us toward that goal,” said Jim Kelly, spokesman for Hawaiian Electric.

He said they are not only using it for operations upgrades, but to increase security as well.

“Cyber security has become a huge issue. We not only are trying to keep our customers information safe, but we really need to keep the grid safe, and make sure that we keep bad actors from penetrating our defenses, said Kelly.

The additional funds would also go toward preventing future power outages.

“Vegetation [can cause] outages. A lot of tree branches falling on lines. So we have a very aggressive vegetation management plan that we’re actually spending a million dollars more a year,” said Kelly.

Hawaiian Electric said power was shut off for 6 hours after fire was reportedly 100% out. If power was out, then power never could have set fire 25 miles away.

Random building were burned certainly not in a reasonably consistent manner based on my knowledge as a certified fire and explosion investigator.

HECO is NOT a government entity, that's why it's listed on ihub. The government Regulates HECO, but the day-to-day operations are the responsibility of HECO.

HECO is also responsible for vegetation management and the maintenance of the poles and wires. The suit is not baseless ,Therefore, HECO is responsible for the Fires.
