Anthem Inc. on Wednesday said its board raised the quarterly dividend by 13.3%, to $1.28 from $1.13.

The new payout, equal to $5.12 a year, represents an annual yield of about 1.17% based on Tuesday's closing price of $439.18, up from 1.03%.

The Indianapolis health insurer said the increased dividend is payable March 25 to shareholders of record March 10.
