BILOXI, Miss., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISLE) today announced plans for an $85 million expansion project at the company's Kansas City, Mo. property. The expansion project will improve guest traffic patterns and renovate existing gaming space to offer guests more variety in playing options. Exterior plans include a new, updated entryway, exterior facade refinishing, reconfiguration of existing parking, and the addition of 1,000 parking spaces to allow guests an easy transition from parking to play. Plans for the casino interior include expanding and renovating the playing area, and adding an entertainment venue to seat at least 1,000 guests. Additional food and beverage amenities include an exciting new Italian restaurant, revamping the Company's branded Calypso's buffet to exceed guests' expectations and at least one other yet to be determined culinary establishment. The company expects to begin construction in Spring 2006 and will take approximately 12 to 15 months to complete.
