Airbus SE and Germany submitted an official offer for the sale of Eurofighter aircraft to Switzerland, the European plane maker said on Wednesday.

The offer, which was submitted to the Swiss Federal Office for Defence Procurement, meets the requirements to replace the F-5 and F/A-18 fleet that Switzerland is currently using, according to Airbus. It was made in cooperation with the other Eurofighter nations and partners such as Leonardo SpA and BAE Systems PLC.
