Oriole Resources PLC said Monday that it has received a 46,000-pound ($64,888) research and development rebate from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs in the U.K.

The West Africa-focused mining company said the rebate is related to a tax relief claim in respect of geoscientific advances sought by Oriole through its exploration programs.

Oriole noted the claim was for 2020. It expects that the claim for 2021 will be significantly higher.
