TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2017 /CNW/ - RH (Restoration Hardware
Holdings, Inc.—NYSE: RH) will officially open its newest
next-generation design gallery, RH Toronto, The Gallery at
Yorkdale, with a grand opening ceremony on Friday, October 20 at 11
A.M.
RH Toronto will be the
first gallery in Canada – and only
the second globally – to feature RH's seamlessly integrated
culinary experience in partnership with celebrated
restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff.
The experience will include a courtyard
café – offering a seasonal, ingredient-driven
menu set within beautiful sheltered gardens, complete with towering
heritage olive trees, trickling fountains and glimmering
chandeliers. Additionally, a pantry will serve craft
espresso, a curated selection of artisanal wines and craft beers,
and fresh house-made doughnuts and pastries from Sodikoff's
famed Doughnut Vault in Chicago.
Commanding four levels and nearly 70,000 total interior and
exterior square feet, this innovative new retail experience
features artistic installations of furnishings and décor in a
gallery setting – including entire floors dedicated to RH
Interiors, RH Modern and RH Outdoor. RH Toronto also includes an interactive Design
Atelier, offering the services of professional interior designers
in a studio environment. Other highlights include a Ben Soleimani
Rug Showroom as well as specialized galleries for window
treatments, bed and bath linens and bath hardware.
Conceptualized as a grand-scale, classical contemporary
structure filled with fresh air and natural light, architectural
and design details include lush garden terraces, decomposed granite
courtyards, and a grand double floating staircase with a massive
skylight and spectacular installation of 23 Helix crystal
chandeliers suspended 62 feet overhead – all culminating in a
Rooftop Park & Conservatory with mature Himalayan birch trees,
intimate vignettes showcasing the latest RH Outdoor collections,
and iconic views of the Toronto
skyline.
RH Toronto marks RH Chairman
& CEO Gary Friedman's ongoing
collaboration with James Gillam of
Backen, Gillam & Kroeger, a firm recognized as one of
Architectural Digest's Top 100 architect and design firms in
the world.
