Oxford Technology VCT has invested a further #300,000 for ordinary shares in
Getmapping.com plc (formerly The Millennium Mapping Company plc).  This brings
Oxford Technology VCT's total investment in the company to #450,000.

Getmapping.com plc (formerly the Millennium Mapping Company plc) has two strands
to its business.  The first is to produce a complete digitised aerial photograph
of the whole of England in the year of the millennium - the Millennium Map - and
then to make this map widely and easily available.  The second is to market
Domesday Facsimiles to which the company has exclusive rights and also a
valuable stock.  At 31 January 2000 the map is some 86% flown, and the
photographs are being scanned and prepared for inclusion in the company's
website getmapping.com, which was launched on the 1st February.  It has become
clear that the Internet is an ideal way to deliver such a large dataset, which
would otherwise require over 30,000 CDs.  The technology to deliver such a huge
dataset over the web at acceptable speeds is quite complicated, using elaborate
compression and decompression algorithms, and the company believes that it has a
world-leading position in the use of this technology.  It will be possible for
individuals to type in their postcode to see a photograph of their own house,
and also to navigate over the map anywhere in England.  The photograph will be
low resolution, initially, and there will be a modest charge for the high
resolution image to be supplied (instantly, over the internet).
