RE:                     DRILLSHIP PREPARES TO SPUD CHINGUETTI 4-4 APPRAISAL WELL

Hardman Resources Ltd ("Hardman") is pleased to announce that the drillship
"Deepwater Discovery" has returned to the Chinguetti structure and is expected to
spud the Chinguetti 4-4 appraisal well today.



The Chinguetti 4-4 well will be drilled to a proposed total depth of 2,925
metres, in the southern downthrown flank of the Chinguetti structure,
approximately 1.5 kilometres east of the Chinguetti-1 discovery well.



Note:  Under the well naming convention adopted by the Mauritanian government
all wells drilled by Woodside will follow the naming convention of "Chinguetti -
Block No - Well No.".
