                         eaga expands as HIPs extended

Green support services company eaga has strengthened its national network of
energy performance assessors following the extension of Home Information Packs
to cover all residential properties.

From midnight on 13 December 2007 rules came into force requiring sellers of
even the smallest homes to provide a HIP on their property. The process was
applied to larger homes in June.

A key report within HIPs is the Energy Performance Certificate ("EPC") to
demonstrate a property's energy efficiency.

As one of the largest providers of domestic energy efficiency solutions in
Europe, eaga is ideally placed to produce the new reports and to advise
households on energy saving measures.

John Clough MBE, eaga Chief Executive, said: "Within the company we currently
have 68 trained assessors operating across England and Wales, who have carried
out some 2,500 EPCs so far. Our national reach and infrastructure means we have
the capacity and synergies in place to add to this workforce as demand for HIPs
accelerates. I expect the number of trained assessors to exceed 150 by the end
of next year.

"Whatever people think of HIPs they are a fact of life, and EPCs are seen by
many as the most useful part of the report. Indeed, homeowners who are not
looking to move are increasingly having their houses assessed to see if they can
become more energy efficient, to reduce their fuel bills and reduce their carbon
footprint."

Using a UK standard assessment procedure, the certificate will provide valuable
information on how efficiently a property generates heating, lighting and hot
water. A higher rating will mean lower fuel bills. A rating system will also
illustrate a property's environmental impact through CO2 emissions.
